Mentioning a chat member

Mention allows you to tag specific people or a specific group of users in a chat using the "@" symbol (e.g. @UserName, @Name_of_Users'_List, @All Members). The mention feature is available for most types of messages: text, files, contacts, and media.

You can mention a chat member by selecting their profile picture in chat history. The contact name will appear in the message box as a mention.

There are three types of mentions in the system: basic, standard and custom.

Focusing attention — mentions feature allows you to send notifications to the right users reducing the information hype and ensuring that important messages don't go unnoticed.

Simplify navigation — when you click on a mention, you can quickly navigate to a user's profile or a related message speeding up communication and information search.

User group mentions — to quickly coordinate actions, use group mentions to instantly notify all team members.
